Therapy Dog for nervous patients.
Meet Indie, our gentle and lovely therapy dog.
Indie is Beech House Dental Practice’s therapy dog. She is a black Labrador with a beautiful temperament. She is gentle and kind; we felt she’d make the perfect therapy dog for the practice. Indie mostly lives in the office; however, she enjoys lying in the beautiful garden during the summer months. She is kept out of clinical areas where patients convene in case of allergies or if anyone is afraid of dogs.
Indie is highly trained and can be booked for a cuddle or a few minutes, as dogs are proven to reduce blood pressure and anxiety in patients. Patients can have some time with Indie if they wish at no cost, as it has dramatically affected nervousness within the practice. If you want to see Indie and say hello, she will be pleased to have her ears or belly rubbed! Please ask reception to organise it before your arrival.
Indie is currently in training to be a fully certified Therapy Dog.
